Outreach Services
Objective:
To assist the older adult, in creating a healthy and independent environment to
live in.
Who is Eligible?
Outreach services are available to outreach clients, based on availability. For
more information and details, please call the Golden Circle.

Some of the services we provide to outreach clients include:
Supportive Transportation
Volunteers provide transportation to medical appointment. There is a $5.00 fee
paid to the volunteers to cover fuel costs. All parking costs are the
responsibility of the client. Appointments must be booked thru the Outreach
Department at least 3 days in advance.
Friendly Visiting:
Volunteers will come to a person’s home to spend time visiting. This service is
available to outreach clients of the Golden Circle. Visiting, going for walks,
and reading are the most common types of activities volunteers offer.

Grocery Delivery:
Grocery delivery is available only to Outreach Clients of the Golden Circle.
The Co-op calls the client on Wednesday to get food orders. On Friday morning
volunteers pick up the groceries and delivers them. The client pays the
volunteer with a cheque when groceries are delivered. The list is limited so
call the Outreach department for information and availability.
Senior Lunch Express:
Every Wednesday, volunteers provide transportation to the Golden Circle for a
hot nutritious lunch. You must be an Outreach Client to receive transportation.
Volunteers will take your order and serve your meal. To register, please call
the Golden Circle by Tuesdays.
Home Maintenance:
The Golden Circle offers Home Maintenance Services to assist senior citizens
with simple household tasks. These services include and are limited to minor
home repairs, basic housekeeping, snow removal, and basic yard work such as lawn
mowing. There is a charge of $15.00/hour for this service and it is available
only to outreach clients.
